Mill troubles and a new mine operation have not stopped Anaconda Mining from staying on track for its 2019 production guidance, according to the company’s first quarter results released Thursday.

Anaconda says that it sold 5,251 ounces of gold in the first quarter, an increase of 16 per cent compared to Q1 2018 and generated $8.8 million in revenue. However, part of the gold sold was due to gold doré inventory left over from last year, with the actual gold production for the quarter totalling 4,176 ounces, three per cent lower compared to Q1 2018.
