Cowan’s new E2HR series of electro-hydraulic rotary valve actuators combines hydraulic components and sensors, oil reservoirs and actuators into a single unit. According to Cowan, the E2HR’s compact design eliminates the need for separate hydraulic power units and hoses and has a control panel that can run multiple units without any external piping. The new series’ system also continuously logs position and time data to analyze valve performance in real time and can be powered on demand to reduce power consumption. The E2HR series has a torque of up to 300,000 inch-pounds and can operate in temperatures from negative 50 celsius to 40 celsius.
