Sandvik’s 800i crusher series features wide chamber ranges and the ability to change the rate and capacity of material moving through the chamber. The series also includes an automation and connectivity system which continuously monitors and optimizes crusher performance by automatically adjusting settings to ensure consistent product size and to decrease maintenance. “The driver behind [including the connectivity system] is that we want to make it easy for the customers to identify bottlenecks, plan the maintenance and increase the transparency within the customers’ organizations,” Magnus Holst, marketing manager at Sandvik, told CIM Magazine. According to Sandvik, the 800i crushers monitor and control lubrication and filtration to prevent damage from lubrication issues, reduce wear on internal components and extend oil life by up to five times.
