Metso has released its Foresight overland conveyors and FIT stationary, in-plant conveyors for material transportation that utilize standardized modular designs to simplify planning, configuration, installation and maintenance, which the company said has sped up delivery times of both conveying systems by 25 per cent and set-up times by 15 per cent.

The Foresight overland conveyors are designed for high-capacity transport over long distances, linking primary crushing stations to coarse ore stockpiles, and can either be fixed in place or relocated depending on the operation’s needs. The FIT stationary, in-plant conveyors are specifically designed to integrate with Metso’s FIT crushing stations.

Additionally, Metso has developed the William Conveyor Explorer, a software application that can be connected to its conveyor module range and enhances the feasibility study process on its Foresight overland conveyors by allowing users to input process and route data. Once added, users can instantly assess multiple options and download modules with the information they need for streamlined planning. According to the company, this feature also supports mine electrification programs.
