The SB5000 Industrial Shock Block is Littelfuse’s new special purpose ground-fault circuit interrupter, providing personnel shock protection for industrial environments. Available in three models, it offers protection on 208, 480 and 600-volt circuits. “If somebody's working with cord-connected equipment, particularly in a wet area, something like a submersible pump or a welder, this allows you to have protection for people on those circuits,” said Mark Pollock, global product manager of Littelfuse’s industrial business unit. The device bears a DFT filter to handle the high frequency electrical noise of industrial systems, part of its design meant to prevent unnecessary tripping.
