Epiroc recently released its Scooptram ST10 G, the latest addition to its range of battery electric underground loaders, which is designed for smaller drift sizes (down to 3.5 x 3.5 metres). With a 10-tonne payload capacity and up to four hours of operation on a single battery charge, the company stated that the loader is an ideal choice for companies seeking to electrify their operations while also being mindful of costs. According to Epiroc, a single Scooptram ST10 G can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 262 tonnes per year when compared to a diesel-powered underground loader. The loader features two dedicated motors—one for traction and another for hydraulics—ensuring efficient, precise performance for both tramming and hydraulic operations.
