Hoyt Wire Cloth’s Hi-Rise screen is designed with shaped wire to increase feed rate and load carrying in screening operations. By compressing and extending traditional round wire into an oblong shape, the Hi-Rise allows a greater amount of smaller-sized materials to fall through and, according to the company, increases open screening area by 12 per cent to 15 per cent. Hoyt Wire Cloth president Jeff Beck says the company’s idea was that “if woven wire screens were created out of shaped, rather than round, wire, it would be possible to give a customer more openings per square foot and thus increase [the] tonnes per hour screened, with the added benefit of greater wear life.” The product also helps decrease oversized material and load recirculation, as well as maintenance downtime.
