Geologist Chad Sorba, vice-president of technical services and project evaluation at Denison Mines, has been a key technical leader in pioneering Canada’s first in-situ recovery (ISR) uranium mining project at the company’s flagship Wheeler River uranium project, which is located in the Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan. The ISR method involves dissolving minerals underground and pumping the mineral-rich solution to the surface for recovery.
