Pretium Resources announced on Thursday its updated mineral reserve, mineral resource and life of mine plan as it moves forward with its plan to increase production at its Brucejack gold mine in northwestern British Columbia.

The company announced its intentions at the end of 2017 to increase its production rate from 2,700 tonnes per day to 3,800 tonnes. On Wednesday, Pretium said that it was on track to achieve that number by the end of the year, and that it was prioritizing increasing the development rate of the mine to 1,000 metres per month and allowing access to more stopes.
