Mineral assay results saw significant delays in 2021, with turnaround times shifting from a standard two to six weeks all the way to a range of eight to 12 weeks. As drilling activity significantly increased across the industry following several years of lower demand and investment in assaying, labs found themselves having to play catch up while also juggling labour shortages and pandemic safety measures.
