At the Mining Innovation, Rehabilitation and Applied Research Corporation (MIRARCO) in Sudbury, Ontario, Nadia Mykytczuk’s vision is starting to come to life. MIRARCO, an independent research arm of Laurentian University, is in the midst of building the Centre for Mine Waste Biotechnology, which will allow for large-scale testing of biomining and bioremediation processes.
