BEVs (battery electric vehicles) are a boon to mining operators on the road to decarbonization. Their full adoption would virtually eliminate the use of diesel fuel in haul trucks—which is one of mining’s largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions—and significantly improve productivity, as well as health and safety.
