The arrival of COVID-19, which led to (mostly temporary) mine closures and shutdowns, did not just throw mining operations into a state of uncertainty, it also affected the business operations that keep mines running. This is especially true for publicly traded companies, which have to file reports on the status of their finances and their mineral resources.
