Today, nearly an entire fleet of mobile electric equipment, from bolters and utility vehicles to jumbos, quietly roam the underground passageways of Newmont Goldcorp’s Borden Lake mine in Ontario.

It’s a huge milestone for mining battery electric vehicle suppliers (BEVs), whose models are being rolled out in mines across Canada after years of research and development.
